Matt & Jeffrey
Being fathers has always been our dream, thank you for considering us. Together for 11 years, we've always known we wanted to build a family filled with love and laughter. We're surrounded by a wonderful network of supportive friends and family who can't wait to see us become parents. We know this is a big decision, and we promise to provide your child with a home full of love, support, and joy.
Our Lifestyle

We lead a balanced lifestyle that prioritizes both our careers and quality time with loved ones. Jeffrey is a partner at an engineering firm, and Matt works in finance at a large corporation. While we're dedicated to our careers, we've reached a point where we can enjoy life with flexibility.
We love our city and believe it will continue to grow in vibrancy, but on weekends, we unplug and head to the lake. There, we enjoy swimming, boat rides, hiking, dog walks, BBQs, and reconnecting with nature. We have several "nieces and nephews" (friends' children), and we've created countless memories with them at the lake. We can't wait to experience these moments with our own child.
Traveling is another passion of ours. We love to explore new places and have built incredible memories along the way. At home, we enjoy cooking together, often with fresh ingredients from our garden. Jeffrey is currently preparing mustard greens from the garden! We also love hosting dinner parties and filling our home with laughter and good food.
We have a strong sense of community and make sure to spend time nurturing the relationships that matter most. This balance of work, relaxation, travel, and family is the foundation of our lives, and we're excited to share it with a child.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

We both deeply admire and respect the qualities we bring to each other and to our relationship. Jeffrey is incredibly hardworking and dedicated. When he sets his mind to something, he finds a way to make it happen. He thrives on networking, building community, and using those connections to achieve his goals. But beyond his career success, what I most admire is the effort he puts into nurturing our relationship and ensuring we continue to grow together. Jeffrey always treasures the family holiday traditions he had growing up with his grandmother, "Mama Jack." He can't wait to share those traditions and the joy they bring with our future child.
Matt is also incredibly hardworking and has a remarkable ability to fix or improve almost anything—whether it's something that's broken or a project that needs building. He loves to stay busy and is always "piddling" around with different projects, keeping himself occupied and engaged. Matt is the first to lend a hand to friends and neighbors, always going above and beyond to help others. He finds joy in taking care of people and things, and his willingness to give of himself is one of the many reasons I'm lucky to be with him.
We're both committed to growing together and supporting one another, always striving to make our relationship stronger. Our dedication to each other is the foundation of our life together, and we know it will continue to guide us as we take this next step in becoming fathers.
Cultural Diversity
We deeply believe that every child, no matter their race or background, should feel loved, supported, and celebrated for who they are. If we are fortunate enough to adopt a child of a different race, we will create an environment where cultural diversity is embraced, respected, and celebrated. Matt's nieces and nephews are a blend of Caucasian and African American, and growing up surrounded by different cultures has given us a strong foundation for fostering inclusivity.
Living in a major metro area, we are fortunate to be part of a community that values diversity and acceptance. Our schools are known for their inclusivity, and the neighborhoods we live in are full of people from all walks of life, who come together around common values of love and respect. We have friends and family from diverse backgrounds, and their influence will be an important part of our child's life, ensuring they grow up in an environment where differences are cherished and celebrated.
Being in such a diverse area, we are confident that there would be no stigma around our child being of another race. We will support and encourage them to be proud of their heritage, and ensure they feel secure, understood, and supported at home, in school, and within our community. Our goal is to create a space where our child feels loved, seen, and appreciated for who they are, surrounded by a community that reflects the beauty of cultural diversity.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our home is a historic Dutch Colonial in a metro area of Georgia, full of charm and warmth. Built 110 years ago, it's a labor of love we've carefully restored together. Before renovations, we got married on our front porch, surrounded by 100 friends and family. With five bedrooms, one has always been called "the nursery"—a nod to our dream of fatherhood and making this house a true family home.
We love our vibrant, diverse neighborhood, which has everything we could want. A major park just a couple blocks away offers playgrounds, open spaces, pools, and trails. The local schools are excellent, and the area is full of community events and leagues for all ages.

Our favorite neighborhood tradition is Halloween. The streets close to traffic, and hundreds of kids gather for a block party before trick-or-treating through the houses. It's pure magic seeing the community come alive with costumes, laughter, and fun.
We're lucky to have several close friends living nearby, all with young children under five, and our street is full of families. Evening walks often lead to friendly chats on our front porch as neighbors pass by.
Gardening is one of our favorite hobbies, and we've poured that passion into making our home inviting, inside and out. Our front porch, where we wind down each evening, holds special memories and is our favorite spot to relax and enjoy the lively neighborhood around us.
Our Extended Families

Family (including our furry members!) is at the heart of everything we do. Both of us grew up in loving homes with parents who have been married for over 50 years. We each have one sister, and together, our families have blessed us with two wonderful nieces and two nephews who bring so much joy to our lives.
Our two dogs, Baxter and Zoni, are our pride and joy. Baxter is a sweet old soul who thinks he's a lap dog, while Zoni, our goofy pup, always brings the fun to the party.

Matt's parents live in Ohio, and we love visiting them for holidays or hosting them at our house during their travels. Late-night card games are a family tradition we all enjoy! Jeffrey's parents live nearby, so we celebrate birthdays and holidays together often.
Every year, we look forward to beach trips with our families, usually to Florida's dog-friendly Cape San Blas. These trips are full of laughter, sunshine, and cherished memories.
Our families are thrilled about our adoption journey and can't wait to welcome a little one into the fun. They're especially excited to create new traditions and celebrate holidays with a child. We can't wait to share this same love and support as we grow our family!
From Us to You

We want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read our letter and consider us as parents for your child. We understand that making an adoption plan is a deeply personal decision and want to assure you that if you choose us, your child will be loved beyond measure and supported in every way possible.
Our names are Matt and Jeffrey. We have been together for 11 years and married for 5 of them. We have always known that we wanted to be fathers, and after years of planning and dreaming, we're finally ready to take the next step in our journey to create a loving family. Our dream is to build a home that is filled with love, laughter, and support.
We live in a vibrant metro area in Georgia, where our community is rich with diversity and deeply connected. We love being part of a neighborhood where families, like us, thrive together, and where children have access to amazing parks, schools, and activities. We have several close friends who live nearby, many of whom have young children themselves, and we're excited about the idea of our child growing up surrounded by friends and family who are just as excited about our fatherhood as we are.
Being surrounded by such a supportive and welcoming community is incredibly important to us. We have friends from all walks of life who love and care for one another, and we are committed to ensuring that our child grows up with the understanding that love knows no bounds. This community will help us nurture our child and provide them with a sense of belonging, acceptance, and support... everything they need to flourish. We know that the foundation of a child's development starts with love and security, and we are ready to provide that every step of the way.
As parents, we believe in the power of open communication and honesty. We believe that children should always know their story, and we're committed to being open with our child about their adoption. We are passionate about making sure they understand the amazing love that went into the decision to place them with us, and we want them to know how deeply grateful we are for that choice.
In that same spirit, we want you to know that we are open to maintaining a relationship with you through letters, pictures, phone calls, texts, emails, or visits. We are committed to keeping you updated on our child's growth, milestones, and the joy they bring into our lives. If you're open to it, we'd love to stay connected and provide you with as much or as little communication as you're comfortable with. We understand that this is your journey as much as it is ours, and we want to respect whatever level of contact feels right for you.
We have been on a journey to fatherhood for several years now, and this is not a decision we take lightly. We've dreamed of creating a family together, and we are excited about the opportunity to share our love, joy, and passion for life with a child. We understand that parenting comes with challenges, but we are more than ready to take those on with patience, resilience, and dedication.
We are so grateful to you for considering us. We know this is an enormous decision, and we respect the love and courage it takes to make it. Please know that your child would be in a home where they will be celebrated for who they are and loved for exactly who they will become. If you choose us, your child will know a life full of love, adventure, and the unwavering support of a community that will help them grow into the person they're meant to be.
We look forward to the possibility of connecting with you and sharing this incredible journey of parenthood.
With all our love and gratitude,
Matt & Jeffrey
